Stephen Yarwood
Stephen is the Deputy Lord Mayor of Adelaide and currently the Chairman of the Local Government Association Climate Change Steering Committee and member of the Capital City Committee and Adelaide Tourism Convention Authority Board.
Stephen has worked in State Government as a Strategic Planner, in Parliament as a researcher and was the Principal Town Planner at the City of Playford for 6 years - he has researched and lectured in several countries and is currently completing a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
Stephen's professional goal is to be a leading futurist creating positive local and global futures. A self confessed “city nerd”, this year he has undertaken urban research in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Edmonton, Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco and has Hong Kong and Brisbane to come.
Through his extensive global experience, Stephen believes Adelaide can be the most liveable city in the world by 2020.
