Joe Flynn

Joe Flynn has an international infrastructure background at the President and Vice President level having led water and electricity utilities and run companies for some of Australia’s largest infrastructure service businesses including Leighton and Tenix.
Joe has spearheaded reform of Australasian water and energy utilities, delivery of significant international energy and water infrastructure, including Australia’s then largest urban desalination plant, and leading regional economic development.
He is currently the Chair of the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing, University of Adelaide, and has recently concluded a four year stint as CEO of the Water Industry Alliance, leaving having seen member turnover growing to almost $1bn and membership numbers up 29%.
Passionate about reducing the world’s carbon footprint, Joe is now consulting to a range of organisations including helping to develop Clean Technology & Sustainable Industries Australasia.
